Sade Sati is a significant astrological period in Vedic astrology that spans approximately seven and a half years, during which the planet Saturn (Shani) transits through three zodiac signs: the sign preceding the natal Moon sign, the Moon sign itself, and the sign following it. The term "Sade Sati" is derived from Sanskrit, where "Sade" means "half" and "Sati" means "seven," collectively indicating this unique duration. The effects of Sade Sati are often viewed with apprehension due to the challenges and hardships it can bring. However, it is also recognized as a transformative phase that promotes personal growth and emotional resilience.

The Sade Sati period is divided into three distinct phases, each lasting about 2.5 years:

1. First Phase (12th House Transit): This initial stage begins when Saturn enters the sign before the natal Moon sign.
